The Northwest Buna church of Christ is a church that belongs to Christ. According to the Scriptures, the Lord's church is not a physical building. The church is God's people who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and have obeyed the gospel by being buried in water for the forgiveness of sins. We seek to do all things by the authority of Jesus Christ as revealed in the New Testament. We hold to no denomination because there were no such divisions existing in the first New Testament church that was built by our Lord Jesus. Therefore, since no denomination exists in the New Testament, we are not a denomination either. The headquarters of the churches of Christ is in heaven at the throne of God and not at the feet of a clergy. The Bible is our sole guide in all things pertaining to life and godliness, being God's inspired words that can never be destroyed.
If you want to take part in the Lord's church, then listen to God's word (Romans 10:17), believe in Jesus Christ (Acts 8:36-37), Repent and turn to God (Luke 13:1-3), be willing to confess that Jesus is the Son of God (Romans 10:10), then obey the gospel by being baptized in water for the forgiveness of all you past sins (Acts 2:38). That is the way it was done in the New Testament; that is the way it is still done today. Nothing has changed.
